Ugh..so I'm sure you have heard me complain about my vocal issues.  I lose my voice easily and can't sing.  Awesome.  Well, after a nice trip to my local ENT, I was informed I have small, vocal nodes.  (Little calluses that are trying to ruin my life)  Luckily, they are small enough that I can get rid of them with vocal therapy as long as I behave.  After attending Vocal Therapy/Personal Torture, here are the rules I must abide by:

    1. Little to no talking.  Only when I am working.  She literally said "No talking on the phone, avoid going out.  Go to the movies...listen a lot."  AH! Problem is, I start performing this Monday and teach classes every Saturday.  Doh.  Also, I am not known for being quiet.  SO, if I am quieter than usual (obviously silence is unattainable...but a goal I have to try and reach) don't be alarmed.  Enjoy the pleasent silence.  It might be creepy to have someone go out...sit...and look at people....but understand I will be that creeper for at least 2 weeks.  If I can't behave...I  will have to be a recluse.  AH!

    2.  No eating acidic food.  Yes, chocolate, coffee, orange juice, tomatoes, soda.  Anything spicy.  "Basically....anything that tastes good....don't eat it.  Bland, boring foods.  Sorry."  My Dr.  knows exactly what to say....and hates me.

    3.  Lip trills 5 times a day for 5 minutes.  Yup, I'll be silent except for doing weird looking excercises that involves spitting....everywhere.  Ha.

    4.  Gargle salt water 2 times a day.  The easiest of my rules to follow.  Score.

    5.  Drink LOTS of water.

So, I have a lot of rules to follow.  Some harder than others.  I figured explaining it in a long post would be better than personally telling everyone.  Texts and IM's are encouraged and allowed.  "Thumbs up" will make a comeback in these next few weeks. Don't be alarmed.  :)

    Show
Favorite Kids moments and comments about our show so far:

"Man, did you see that girl's split?"
    "Yea, and she pretty too!"

"Quiet!"  Screamed from a little autistic boy at the end of our show to me.  The teacher told me, "Oh, don't be bothered, its amazing that he at least was in tune with what you guys are doing."  Ironically enough though, he chose me to yell that to.  (Not that I am loud in the slightest.)

"Hey, what channel are you guys on?"

"Uhm, can we see the show again?"

"Are you a cheerleader or something?"
    "No."
    "Good."
    "Why do you ask?"
    "You're hyper."

Personally introducing and allowing 6 blind children to touch and interact with the puppets.  (My heart broke and make me consider puppet therapy even more)

While I was doing "thriller" in the show, 4 teachers in the back of the room started doing the entire dance with me.

    Jobs!
After a month of auditioning everywhere I finally got my phone call.

As of Thursday at 11 AM, I will be performing a 6 month contract as a cohost for "Extreme Health Challenge," a professional children's theater. With this job, I will be on tour from September to February from Monday-Thursday each week. I have been told we will be travel all over Florida including but not limited to: The Keys, Broward County, Jacksonville, South Beach.

This is the perfect job for me. It includes theater, performing and education. I will get the opportunity to help children as I act. Also, I get to play two puppet roles which are hysterical.

Plus, I get to travel. For everyone that knows me, a chance to frolic at the beach or in the sun makes me SO excited. When I tour to these different cities, I command my friends in each city to meet me and frolic at the beach and what not. (After I perform my shows, I have the rest of the day off!!!!)

ALSO, this summer I have a three day contract at Universal as a streemosphere actor as a Stepsister from Shrek. If you are at Universal Studios on Sun-Tues, come visit me.

I can't express how truly grateful I am for these opportunities. I want to start them right now. But, for now I will just go shopping for suitcases, rollerblades(for frolicking in the cities), books, on the road activities and whatnot.

I am so blessed. God has truly helped me accomplish all my goals.

    Calling all good writers
So, Summer time is very slow for work. Therefore, I call it "Audition Season." Problem is, I have no monologue. My favorite one of all time, I have used way too much and can't do it anymore. I have spent over $100 in the past month trying to find one. I bought 5 plays, checked out 40 from the library and NOTHING!

SO....since all my friends are amazingly talented and know my goofy personality, I was wondering if anyone knew of any good monologues or would be up to writing me one. I already have a few people up for it, but I thought I would ask everyone since I need so many, like realy soon. :) I already have 4 auditions scheduled for May alone!

If anyone wants to write a monologue for a goofy, silly girl, I would love you forever. And you would have the joy of knowing you helped me in this crazy thing called a theater career. Any takers??? :)

    Mind Vomit
Well, it has been a really crazy semester. A lot of things have happened that have changed everything and made me think...a lot. Well, at the beginning of the semester I auditioned for Gypsy and got the role I have always wanted to play. Very crazy and new for me. I had a great time and got some positive feedback for it, so all in all, good experience. Then I auditioned for 42nd Street and got in. I had a great time catching up on my tap skills and meeting some great people. Once again, great experience.
The funny thing about this whole experience, ( hopefully it will continue) is that everytime I say I am going to quit theater, I get pulled back in. I was content working towards getting into grad school and such, then on a whim, I auditioned and am pulled back into the theater world. Crazy. I even auditioned for Disney. Craziness. They really liked me and asked me to come back and audition for Playhouse Disney and HOng Kong. Coolness. So right, now I am just gonna keep auditioning and just have fun. I will like to see where it all takes me. Who knows.
My favorite thing about this whole theater thing was meeting all these great people. I really enjoy their company. They are all prolly some the sweetest and down to earth theater people I have ever met!!! Great times.
School was crazy. I barely paid attention at all and it looks like I am getting 3 A's and 1 B. Sillyness. I have one class this summer so thats ok. Whatever.
I have also been thinking so much about relationships and love. So many people I know are getting married, engaged and ready to spend the rest of their lives with someone. I used to be weary of it, but if someone has found that one person they are willing to be with forever, more power to them. Thats a huge step to make and if you can make it effortlessly, I bet its the right choice.

I just cried for an hour during Dawson's Creek. I am the biggest loser in all the land.

Yea....and school is ok. Kinda boring but nothing new. I think grad school will be very cool. Im excited to embark on that.

Things with Sam have been going very well. We have lots of happy times even if its just hanging out.

Ohh and my two guilty pleasures now are Dawson's Creek and Nip Tuck. I watch them any chance I get. ( *cough loser*)
